Dear Parents & Students,
RAD EXAMS
R.A.D. Exams are set for Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Exams will take place between 9:30 am & 3:00pm at the Main Studio. Exact times will be announced when they are released from the Royal Academy.
Our Examiner this year is Miss Haro from Mexico. The Pre Primary – Gr. II presentation exams Miss Penny will conduct the class with the children while the examiner observes. Exam Fees will be mailed to you in the next week. In preparation for the up coming exams, the Gr. II, III & V class will have practice with the pianist that will accompany them during their exam. The Pianist will come for practice lessons during the regular classes on Tuesdays and or Thursdays. Pre Primary & Primary have recorded music as in their class.
ISTD Exams have been postponed for now as the scheduled time conflicted with the local Sunshine Coast Music Festival on May 7th.
MUSIC FESTIVAL
The Annual Sunshine Coast Music Festival is taking place on Friday, May 7th at the Heritage Playhouse in Gibson’s. Times for all student involved are yet to be released and will inform you as they become available. For all other student who are not participating in the festival please come and show you support by cheering on your fellow Dance Works peers!! If you would like to volunteer to join the Dance Works Cheering section please contact Zoe as she will be organizing this fun event. 741-8354
OUTBURST Hip Hop Comp Class
Congratulations to the OUTBURST Competition Hip Hop class for representing Dance Works and the Sunshine Coast at the I Heart Van Art event during the 2010 Olympics. Also, congratulations for a job well done to Dance Works teachers Angela Lowndes (OUTBURST Choreographer) & Lorenzo Bernabe for their participation in the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympics!!!!
