                        2010/2011
    Scholarship Program

Every year at Dance Works we raise money and donate thousands of dollars worth of dance training to students from lower income families.   Every year we receive many applications for these scholarships and every year we do our best to help as many kids as possible to pursue the performing arts.  This year we are sponsoring over a dozen students and are hosting various events through out the year to raise funds for these sponsorships.
The Chrsitmas Show raised over $500.00 for this fund and we will be selling Dance Works Calenders and Year Books this year as well.  If you would like more info on this scholarship program please contact the Dance Works office at 604-741-8354 or email: danceworksacademy@hotmail.com

Once you information has been reviewed it will be determined whether you are eligible for a full or partial scholarship.  Full scholarships mean that your entire dance fee is covered.  Partial scholarships mean you will be responsible for a portion of your fees based on your income.  If you still feel that you cannot afford the partial payment requested then you may appeal the decision by contacting the Dance Works Office.

Once you have been accepted to a Scholarship Program, your are responsible for the following:

1.     Students are responsible to cover the costs of their costumes.  Costumes are $50.00 per class and you may pay using a monthly payment plan if that better suits your needs.  This payment plan must be set up with the Dance Works office otherwise all costume fees are due by Jan 1/09.

2.    Parents of students accepted into the scholarship program are expected to participate in some way in at least 1 of the fundraising events (i.e. Christmas Show & Year End Show).  The more help we have, the more money we can raise, the more kids we can help.
